I have a bottle tree, still in boxes.
Boxes here and there in my study.
Gobs of them, mostly wine bottles.
But I am missing a trunk for my tree.
If and when I ever solve that dilemma
then I will have another,
whether or not to paint the bottles,
and when. Maybe this year.
Or another if I live that long.
For now my bottle tree feels no breeze

Too many bottles and not enough time. Many questions to ponder here Jim. A great response to both prompts.
ReplyDeleteJim, this made me smile. Let's hang our bottles, kiddo, while we can!
ReplyDeleteI never thought of painting the bottles... I thought the glass was already colored! I say if you don't get it done by spring, through them out. I'm all about getting rid of things these days... :)
ReplyDeleteI should be also. I've thrown a few out (recycle) but that is stopped until I think it over again.

Oh, we gather more than we can deal with. There are times I just can't let go.
ReplyDeleteI think that unset traps are wasted--for mice or whatever. But hey! Let the spirits live while your narrator plays. Maybe they are for good and not evil.
ReplyDeleteLove this, Jim. Bottle trees feeling no breeze.
ReplyDeleteYou need to work on your tree, Jim!!!! Boxes of bottles just waiting?
