#12 - 12th Christmas Tree - 2023 - Deer

This fellow greeted me as I was to put my Bible on the entrance table at a Men's Room at our church.  He is one of our seasonal holiday time employees.

From Monday's Houston Chronicle's;

Just the opposite of our daughter's experience with her cat, Dutch.  See my last Sunday's post,

Poem ~~ Leaving the Desert

Happy

I walked through the touch screen  that day
Happy that I was free once more
O fingers would poke and tickle
Leaving tales I'd now be privy

Leaving the desert is easy
You'll please leave your shoes by the door
Let the fingers tread on your toes
Read the latest hot tweets and poems

Folks think they live in a mirage
Being born here, they put on airs
They've been poked too much,  head to toe
Counting electrons day and night

The statue of the Manneken Pis is located in Brussels, Denmark. You can read more about it here.   Or view our pool here (in Spring) and here (in Winter).  Note 1: we only have snow about every ten years, the snow picture was taken last year.  The other one a few weeks ago.

Note 2, the top picture with the Spike may not look square but Picasa 3 adjusted it to be square when I was cropping with it.  Click on it to see it like it is before I posted.

Painting is easy when you don’t know how, but very difficult when you do. Edgar Dégas
The same may go for poetry? (whatever, I enjoy painting with the words!)

**How does it feel--Like a rolling stone
"How does it feel How does it feel To be on your own With no direction home Like a complete unknown Like a rolling stone?"
