#19 - 19th Christmas Tree post,

[Photo copied from a FB friend, thank you]

     Santa  Ready

'Tis Christmas Eve
Stockings are hung
All are asleep
Santa will come

Will he bring toys
He aims to please
All girls and boys
So he'll for me

Thanks in advance
I'll dance for joy

A Poem, Hand, Ear, and Eye

My Slapping Hand

My slapping hand is a virgin
Been plugged to my ear all it's life
It's heard nasty hurtful talking
But my hand has not slapped one time

My slapping hand a virgin still
Changing the plug now to the eye
and it's seeing injustices
of the world and ready to slap

My slapping hand will sting a bit
Virginity's film to be gone

Seeing eye
…….……..Shaping hand
…….……………………..Comes change

My Grandchildren

Where were your grandchildren today;    Or if you don't have some, where were
you; that your grandmother would care

From youngest to oldest I pray
Where are they what are they doing
It is a mean crazy world today
How there do those grandchildren cope

Lovely granddaughters I have four
Oldest two working at their homes
Both married, one mother of two

Younger two school has been their thing
One, college grad, now at D.C.
At White House front she's protesting
The younger's home, in junior high
Works Soduko, beats me at Clue

My two grandsons do their own thing

Keep good tabs on your grandchildren
Stay in good terms and good graces

One day soon they'll be watching you

Poem ~~ Leaving the Desert

Happy

I walked through the touch screen  that day
Happy that I was free once more
O fingers would poke and tickle
Leaving tales I'd now be privy

Leaving the desert is easy
You'll please leave your shoes by the door
Let the fingers tread on your toes
Read the latest hot tweets and poems

Folks think they live in a mirage
Being born here, they put on airs
They've been poked too much,  head to toe
Counting electrons day and night

My Poem, a Tanka, for Midweek Motiff

Perverted Thief

One he can't forgive
Stole his bride of thirteen years
Perverted boy toy
Boy's found Lord of Forgiveness
Still now our friend won't forgive

Rabbit Ears at the Card Shop

Day Twenty-five of March Spiky Squares!
[where Becky of Winchester's other entries are]

Becky is the keeper of the Square stuff.  March is Spiky Squares.
The picture has to be square.  Mine is "CD Cover" squared according
to Picasa 3, my photo helper app but discontinued by Google.
Becky's posts can be seen at the link above.

Rabbit ears of the card shop
Real pointy, sharp, but they're soft
Don't let them see you coming
They're peeking out of their box

Painting is easy when you don’t know how, but very difficult when you do. Edgar Dégas
The same may go for poetry? (whatever, I enjoy painting with the words!)
